Welding Process - Gas Welding Process

Welding Process - Gas Welding Process Gas welding process is a joining process of two similar or dissimilar metal by using flame which is generated by mixture of gases. These flame melt the workpiece and join metal parts.  Table Of Contents Gas welding process is also known as Oxyacetylene welding because it uses Oxygen (O2) and Acetylene (C2H2) as a mixture of gases to generate flame that melt and fused the metal. The black cylinder is used to store Oxygen (O2) and Maroon Colour Cylinder is used to Store Acetylene (C2H2). Gas Welding Process The process of welding is almost same in each welding like to melt the two metal by heating above the melting point (add flux or filler material if required) and fuse them. Aluminium, Nickel and Stainless steel are some filler material used in Gas welding process (if required). Gas Welding Process In Gas welding process the metal is melt by heating mixture of fuel gases like Acetylene and Oxygen. When these high pressure gas...

Scavenging in IC Engine

Scavenging in IC Engine Scavenging in IC Engine is a process to remove the exhaust air (Burnt gases) from the combustion chember and supply fresh fuel air mixture in the chember. Scavenging process is used in both two stroke and four stroke engine to remove exhaust air and supply of air or air fuel mixture.  Scavenging Process Table Of Contents Scavenging is also said as a process of clearing the cylinder after each expansion stroke. The Scavenging process is used in two stroke engine which does not used piston to push exhaust gas like four stroke engine. In two stroke engine air enter in cylinder through bottom dead centre and scavenging the exhaust gas through the cylinder. Better scavenging process includes better combustion of fuel which lead better engine performance. What is Scavenging Angle? Scavenging Angle is the Crank Angle by which both inlet and exhaust port are open. Types of Scavenging There are three types of Scavenging in Engine Uniflow Scavenging C...
